Dear RPA Members and Students,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am pleased to share several exciting developments from the Society of Professional Accountants of Canada.
The RPA designation continues to gain recognition across diverse sectors, reflecting our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity in the fields of accounting, finance, and management. This growing reputation is a direct result of the dedication and professionalism demonstrated by our members and students.
We have significantly expanded our outreach, establishing partnerships with colleges and universities both in Canada and abroad. Notably:
We are also proud to share that RPA Canada successfully hosted the C-Suite Executive Program in Management Accounting in collaboration with CMA Australia at the Holiday Inn Toronto Airport. This intensive executive training program brought together professionals seeking advanced leadership capabilities, and many participants are now eligible for the prestigious CMA designation.
Another exciting initiative is the launch of the 7th Annual RPA Women Entrepreneur Awards 2025. Nominations are now open, and this year we are proud to introduce a new category recognizing Women in Professions. This expansion reflects RPA Canada’s ongoing commitment to empowering women, not only through entrepreneurship but also through education and professional leadership. Now in its seventh year, this flagship program continues to celebrate the outstanding contributions of women who are driving positive change in their communities and industries.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to staying at the forefront of the accounting profession. We are embracing emerging technologies such as AI, Microsoft Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Cloud Accounting, iFirm tax solutions, cybersecurity, and data security—tools that are reshaping the future of work in our field.
I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to our Board of Directors, committees, members, and students for your continued commitment to advancing the profession and upholding the principles of ethics, accountability, and public service. Your contributions make RPA Canada stronger every day.
As we look ahead, I encourage you to stay engaged, embrace new opportunities, and continue striving for excellence. Together, we are shaping the future of accounting with purpose and professionalism.
Warm regards,
Zubair Choudhry, RPA, APA
