RPA Canada Announce Award Winners

Five outstanding female entrepreneurs to be recognized on October 15

TORONTO, October 3, 2022 – The 4th annual RPA Women Entrepreneur Awards, presented by the Society of Professional Accountants of Canada, announced today five winners of the 2022 awards. The winners will be honored with RPA Woman Entrepreneur Awards as part of the Small Business Week Celebrations planned by the Society of Professional Accountants of Canada to be held on Saturday October 15, 2022, at 12:30 pm at Sandman Signature Mississauga Hotel.

2022 RPA Women Entrepreneur Awards

The winners in each of the award categories are leaders who have not only risen to meet the challenge of keeping their businesses afloat during the years under pandemic lock-down but also help keep the Canadian economy going at a time when it needed the most. This year’s recipients span sectors that include Agriculture (Organic Fertilizer), Dog Training School, Innovate and E-Learning Company, Wellness Industry (Good Night Sleep), Medical & Health Services.

In recognition of the incredible growth of the overall program, a Female Youth Entrepreneur category has been added this year. This award has now included two categories: girls’ empowerment: Women’s economic independence and role in decision making.

Their leadership, passion and enterprising spirit serve as an inspiration for the next generation of entrepreneurs to pursue their aspirations and be part of Canada’s thriving business community.”

Now in its fourth year, the RPA Women Entrepreneur Awards program recognizes the country’s leading female local entrepreneurs who have made impressive and substantial contributions to the local small businesses. The five-members Selection Committee of the awards program was constituted of notable Canadian businesswomen: Marjorie (Kitty) Atkinson, Executive Director of Tenet Computer Group Inc.; Shelley Jarrett, President of SJP Consulting; Annie Puran, Director of Atum Financial Services Inc.; Sheares (Banki) Benjamin, Founder of Business Takeout; Elena Sanchez, RPA.

The official announcement of the 2022 award winners were made on Monday, October 3rd via live broadcast of the RPA Canada YouTube channel. These RPA Women Entrepreneur Awards will be presented at a VIP reception. The VIP Reception, hosted by The Society of Professional Accountants of Canada, RPA YouTube Channel, will livestream the event.
