The revamped curriculum will take effect on January 31, 2024, as part of our commitment to align RPA education closely with the evolving demands of the industry, particularly for Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).”

The updated courses include:
1. Economics (Microeconomics & Macroeconomics)
2. Mathematics (Business Mathematics or Introductory Statistics or Quantitative Methods)
3. Business Fundamentals (Marketing or Business Strategy)
4. Small Business Management (Entrepreneurship & Operations Management)
These new requirements will apply to any student who is not registered as a student member of RPA Canada as of January 31, 2024. Any student member registering after January 31, 2024, will be required to add these courses to the previous 16 prerequisite courses totaling 20 for the program. As with our previous prerequisite courses, students must achieve a grade of 60% or higher to meet the prerequisite requirement and must have taken and completed each course within the last 5 years and must obtain written authorization from the RPA Canada Education Committee.
We encourage early enrollment to aspiring accounting students. To secure your RPA designation, we have a special distinction for those who will. Students who register before or on January 31, 2024, will be recognized with Legacy Student status and will be permitted to follow the original curriculum comprising of 16 courses.
For those registering after January 31, 2024, a standard curriculum of 20 courses will be in place. This change aims to enhance the educational journey and ensure that all students receive the latest and most comprehensive academic offerings.
