From Conestoga Student to RPA

Hover over each stage below to explore the pathway and complete the requirements for your RPA designation.

STEP 1

Enroll

Enroll in an eligible Conestoga accounting program aligned with RPA prerequisite requirements.
As a student, you may also apply for RPA Student Membership to access networking opportunities,
industry engagement, and learning resources.

STEP 2

Complete Your Credential

Successfully complete your Conestoga diploma, degree, or post-graduate program.
Your completed courses will then be reviewed to assess alignment with RPA prerequisite requirements.

STEP 3

Complete Remaining RPA Learning Courses

If any prerequisites in the equivalency chart are identified as RPA Learning requirements,
they must be completed through RPA Canada’s learning modules, including courses such as
Data Analytics for Accountants, Technology for Accountants, and other required modules.

STEP 4

Apply for the RPA Designation

Submit your application to RPA Canada to receive an Assessment Report
outlining your eligibility, completed equivalencies, and any remaining requirements.

STEP 5

Pass the MPE

Successfully pass the Mandatory Professional Examination (MPE) — a proctored,
online, closed-book examination offered during scheduled sittings.

STEP 6

Gain Work Experience

Complete two (2) years of relevant accounting-related work experience to satisfy
the practical experience requirement for the designation.
