Mandatory Professional Exams.(MPE)

Admission to the Society is by successful completion of the Mandatory Professional Examinations, following the course of studies and prerequisites required for the competence in accountancy listed in the educational program established by the Society.

The names of applicants who successfully complete the examinations are entered in the Society’s register of designated members and thus, are authorized by the Society to use the designatory letters “RPA”, an abbreviation which represents, Registered Professional Accountant, (Compatible Professionnel Enregistré).

Please note that application fees are non-refundable; therefore, you should ensure that you meet the prerequisite requirements. Please visit the Designations section for more details or email the Registrar to confirm.  Unless exempt, Mandatory Professional Examinations fees are payable at a later date when attempting examinations. Please note that a valid government ID is required to write the examinations and for membership.  To maintain your membership annual dues are required in addition to other requirements

Passing the RPA Mandatory Professional Examination (MPE)

Passing the RPA exam can be a life-changing achievement. An individual who has an RPA designation will be eligible for a wide range of jobs that require expertise in accounting. Consequently, you can expect to command a higher salary and a greater degree of job security.

Of course, you have to pass all four subjects of the RPA Mandatory Professional Exam (MPE) first. There are four examinations that are considered in the MPE Exams:

  1. Financial Accounting
  2. Management Accounting
  3. Taxation
  4. Data analytics
