RPA Student Ambassador Program – Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the minimum requirements, responsibilities, and benefits for participants in the RPA Student Ambassador Program. The program is designed to engage students in promoting accounting profession among students as career option with RPA designation, supporting professional events, and serving as role models within the academic and professional community.

2. Eligibility

• Applicants must be current students enrolled in an approved accounting or business program.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong academic standing and a commitment to leadership, community engagement, and professional development.

3. Term of Service

• The minimum term of service for RPA Student Ambassadors is 18 months.
• Ambassadors are expected to fulfill program responsibilities for the full duration of their term.

4. Academic Requirements

• Ambassadors must maintain satisfactory academic progress and successfully pass all required courses during their period of service.
• Failure to meet academic requirements may result in early termination of ambassador status.

5. Responsibilities

RPA Student Ambassadors are expected to:

• Represent RPA Canada at events, conferences, and networking activities in the campus.
• Promote RPA designation within their institutions and campus communities.
• Support the mission, values, and strategic initiatives of RPA Canada.
• Act as liaisons between students, academic institutions, and RPA Canada.
• Organize and lead eventsfor accounting students to enhance engagement and awareness of the RPA designation.
• Actively participate in student-focused events and initiativesthat support the professional growth of accounting students.

6. Benefits

• Ambassadors will gain valuable leadership, networking, and professional development experience.
• Upon successful completion of their 18-month term and fulfillment of all academic requirements, ambassadors may also be eligible for an RPA Scholarshipprogram to cover the study, review sessions and MPE examination cost in obtaining RPA designation (conditions apply).

7. Conditions and Exceptions

• Eligibility for scholarships is contingent on program funding, academic achievement, and fulfillment of all ambassadorial responsibilities.
• RPA Canada reserves the right to amend or update this policy at its discretion.
